Q: WILL THIS PROGRAM BE SPECIFIC TO MY NEEDS?
A: This is a group coaching program. But because I know that any fitness program must be able to accommodate individual needs if it is to be successful, I have included teachings on how to tailor the program to your specific situation. My library of workouts include modified plans which take into account various joint concerns. My collection of meal plans allow for a trial of different diet concepts, if desired. I have also included a total of 4 LIVE sessions with me every month to get your concerns personally addressed.
Q: WOULDN'T I BE BETTER OFF HIRING A PERSONAL TRAINER TO GIVE ME IN PERSON TRAINING SESSIONS?
A: This program is more cost-effective than hiring a personal trainer. Q: DO I NEED A GYM MEMBERSHIP?
A: No. The workout program details exercises that can be done at home with no special equipment required. The library contains workouts for those who prefer to go to gym as well.
Q: HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
A: To start off, you'll receive a workout plan and meal plan. If you want to get started right away, and follow these plans to the letter from the get-go, that's completely your choice. Or you may choose to follow along as I guide you step-by-step in incorporating a fit lifestyle into your schedule in a way that doesn't overwhelm you over the course of the 3-month program.
Every other week, you'll receive a short video module with a coaching lesson for you. On the alternate weeks, we'll have a group coaching chat conducted over video. This gives you additional teaching as well as a chance to get your questions asked. (If you can't make it to the LIVE coaching chat, a video replay will be stored in the online library for you.

Q: WHAT KIND OF DIET IS THE MEAL PLAN?
A: The meal plan you are provided in the beginning is gluten-free and dairy-free. There is a choice of a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian plan. You also have access to a library of meal plans with that follow various dietary concepts (i.e. not necessarily gluten- and dairy-free).
Q: DO I HAVE TO DIET THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS DURING THIS PROGRAM?
A: You never HAVE to do anything during this program. You always have a choice. During the program, I'll provide advice on how to minimize weight gain or any other fitness setbacks during the holiday season. Holidays can be stressful enough without the added stress of fearing disapproval from your coach. So you won't get that from me.
Now before you think that my method won’t work for you because you’re starting from scratch, while I have the benefit of having done this for so many years…let me tell you why my journey may be a little more like yours than you think.
I lead a very full life. I’m a physician, fitness athlete, personal trainer, and community volunteer. But after my father had a stroke in March of 2016, I fell into a depression of sorts while taking on the role of caregiver. I was a textbook case of Caregiver Syndrome.
I stopped working out. I ate junk food. I gained weight. My energy level plummeted. I was ashamed that I allowed this to happen, since my job as a rehabilitation physician often involves helping families of stroke patients’ deal with such situations.
As a health and fitness expert who has been on TV & radio to advise others on staying fit, it was very humbling to have fallen into this trap — I had developed complete apathy with regards to my own health.
Months passed. Eventually, I decided that I had to get back on track. I realized that I would not be able to take good care of my family if I didn’t take better care of myself. To resume a healthy lifestyle, I thought I could just do what I had done so many times before — diet and train like I was getting ready for a contest. I started my contest prep program, and failed almost immediately. I was “on the wagon" then “off the wagon”…over and over again. What was I doing wrong?
And then it came to me. I had never done this before. Sure, I was well-practiced in preparing for a fitness competition while maintaining my work as a physician, trainer, and philanthropist. But I had never done THIS. I had never dieted and trained while working AND caregiving.
So I had to approach this differently. It was not HUGELY different. But it was an important tweak to my training plan. And I’ll share it with you when join the SUPERCHARGED! program.
